Two ship-breaking yard staff mugged in Chittagong

Police said, accountant Abul Kalam Bhuiyan and another staffer of a ship-breaking yard were carrying TK 6 lakh in cash and TK 19 lakh in pay order to their city office from the yard in Kadamrasul area under Sitakunda thana.

Asoon as they reached near Kalu Shah Mazar, three armed muggers on board a taxi-cab intercepted their 4-stroke baby taxi at around 8.30pm.

They looted the money at gun point and fled away on board the same taxi-cab.

Later police held one person named Azam, 35.

A case was also filed.
