Jubo Dal activists loot shrimp
Activists of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, youth front of the ruling BNP were forced to leave a shrimp enclosure at Debhata which they allegedly occupied on Sunday.
The shrimp enclosure was owned by Bimal Kumar Mondal of Khalishatunia in Debhata upazila.
However, they 'looted' shrimp worth Tk one lakh from there.
A group led by Satkhira district Jubo Dal leader Abdul Kader attacked the staff of the enclosure. They forced them leave the enclosure at gun point.
Bimal filed a case with Debhata on the same night. Police rushed to the spot at about 2:30 am, chased the miscreants away.
Police took control of the enclosure. An arbitration meeting was held on Monday at the office of the Assistant Police Super (ASP), Kaligonj circle but in vain. Police have been patrolling the shrimp enclosure area.
