Open gruel kitchens in monga-affected areas, AL demands
The team included central AL leaders Sharfuddin Ahmed Jhantoo, lawmaker from Domar-Dimla constituency Hamida Banu Shova and Awami Sechchasebok League President Bahauddin Nasim.
They visited the house of Shohor Ali of East Satnai village. They claimed that Ashohor ali did of starvation and gave some relief goods and money to his father Fazar Ali.
During the visit, a large number of people gathered there and complained to the AL leaders that the government relief was too inadequate to their needs.
The team also visited the monga-affected Gangchhara upazila in Rangpur district on the same day.
After the visit, the AL leaders demanded of the government to open gruel kitchens in the affected areas immediately. There is no alternative to this to save the distressed people, they told local people.
