Wonder fish caught

Witnesses said, the gray coloured fish with a tail like 'pangash fish' and white spots throughout the body was 13 feet in length and nine feet in diameter.

Local fisheries officials could not immediately identify the apparently rare fish, which was also not familiar to people in the area. The fish died as soon as it was hauled on board the fishing boat 'Banani' with a crew 18 fishermen.

The fish was later brought to Alipur fish market under Patuakhali where it drew a large crowd to have a glimpse of the fish.
