Accused snatched from police van: 8 arrested

The arrested are Bashir, Omar Faruk, Latif, Mizanur, Delwar, Ibrahim, Sobahan and Mamun. Mamun is a nephew of a local member of parliament (MP) Matiur Rahman.

He lead a gang of 20 in the snatching incident.

Barguna and Amtali Police said, miscreants snatched away the accused named Anis khan from a police van at Arpangashia Bazaar of Amtali in Barguna on Monday night.

He was being tried under Prevention of Torture on Women and Children Act.
