RAF operation in S-W dists from February
Operation by the Rapid Action Force (RAF) in south-western districts will begin in February, sources in Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) said.
The RAF will be headquartered in Khulna city and the government is looking for a suitable place for its office and barrack for a 600-strong force.
Additional IG (Admn) of police Mohammod Abdus Salam who came here on Sunday held a meeting on this with DIG, Police Commissioner and all SPs of Khulna division at the Officers Mess at Khalishpur.
He underscored the need for operation by RAF in the south western region to contain crimes.
