Hartal observed in Chuadanga

The hartal was called by the Chuadanga unit of Awami Jubo League to condemn the killing of local Jubo League leader Moshiur Rahman Bipu,30, on Saturday night in the district town by unknown miscreants.

During hartal hours movement of all types of vehicles stopped while shops, mills and factories remained closed and classes were not held in all the educational institutions here.

Bipu was shot dead on Saturday near Chuadanga railway station. The activists of the Awami League, Jubo League and Chhattra League took out a procession carrying the body which paraded the main streets of the town. Police arrested one person named Moni from the local Eidgah para area for interrogation.
