BNP-Jamaat govt gave only crime, corruption, AL leader Jalil says
He was addressing a council of Manikganj district Awami League at the Government Devendra College play ground on Monday.
He said people are now fed up due to the government's "misrule and abuse of power".
Referring to lynching of alleged forest bandits in Noakhali by people, he said the incidents took place as people took law in their hands after losing confidence in the government. This is a very bad trend.
Jalil said the government has turned the country into a safe haven for communal groups. "People are burnt to death and human rights are being violated", he said.
The council was also addressed by, among others, AL leaders Obayedul Quader, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Abdur Rahman, Abdul Latif Siddiqi, Dewan Safiul Arefiu Tutul, Ahkam Ullah.
District AL president Moslem Uddin Khan presided over the council conducted by its secretary Gold Mohiuddin.
