Abducted youth rescued in Kushtia, captors held

Police said Mustafizur Rahman Ripon, 20, son of Torab Ali, headmaster of Chandipur primary school in Bheramara, was abducted from near the upazila headquarter Friday evening while he was returning home from Bheramara bazaar.

The kidnappers later demanded Tk one lakh ransom.

Following a complaint by the victim's father next day, police raided a house at Barkhada village, rescued the youth and arrested four persons. They are house owner Kalam, his wife Taslima Khatun, Maznu and Solaiman.

A case has been filed against them with the Sadar police station.
