Bangladeshi beaten to death in India
A Bangladeshi who went to a bordering village in India illegally was beaten to death there, according to a delayed report received here on Tuesday.
BDR sources said Ruhul Islam, 32, son of Akabar Ali of Kushkhali village in Satkhira Sadar upazila, went to Khalshia village in Swarupnagar thana under 24 Parganas district in West Bengal on December 10.
One Panchanon Paramanik of Khalshia village and his accomplices caught and beat him to death.
Being informed, Swarupnagar thana police recovered the body and arrested Panchanon Paramanik and two of his accomplices.
The sources said BDR has sent a letter to Indian Border Security Force (BSF) for holding a flag meeting for return of the body.
