Unocal donates medicine, books and school uniforms

Unocal has been supporting these organisations for the last few years.

Brian W G Marcotte, Vice President (International Energy Operations) and George Arthur Walker, Vice President (Public Policy, Health, Environment & Safety) headed the team.

Also present were Laurie Regelbrugge, Manager, Unocal Foundation and Deborah R Purcell, Corporate Manager from Unocal's head offices.

During the December 10 visit they handed over medicines, books and school uniforms to authorities of these organizations.

Dr Ahmed Hossain of Red Crescent Maternity Hospital received the medicines for mothers and newborn babies from the team.

Suchitra Roy, Deputy Superintendent of Sarkari Shishu Paribar received textbooks, shoes and bed sheets for each of the 175 members of the Paribar.

Dr Shamimur Rahman, Managing Committee Chairman of Sirajuddin Ahmed Academy, where the Unocal-BRAC library is situated, received books from the Unocal officials.
