Loan for the retarded
The Social Service Department of Sundarganj upazila disbursed interest-free loans among 28 retarded persons under a rehabilitation programme for acid burnt and physical handicapped on Thursday.
A discussion meeting was also held at Sundarganj Upazila Auditorium on Sunday. Presided over by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Tapan Kumar Ghosh the meeting was by local Member of Parliament (MP) Mowla Abdul Aziz as chief guest.
An amount of Tk 2, 82,000 was disbursed among 28 retarded persons for petty business and goat or poultry birds rearing.
