Mongla Pourasabha chairman granted bail

A division bench of the High Court Division comprising Justice Md Awlad Ali and Justice Abdul Awal granted the bail after hearing both the parties on Sunday.

Salam faces the charge of hatching a conspiracy to kill a BNP leader named Halim. Eight people have been made accused in the case while eight to nine others have been suspected.

Former Law Minister Abdul Matin Khasru moved the bail application on behalf of the accused-petitioner. Advocate Pankaj Kumar Kundu assisted him in the hearing. Deputy Attorney General Syed Abu Kowser Md Dabirush-shun represented the government.
