Attack on hotel owner by JCD cadres
At least five persons including the owner and manager of a hotel in Satkhira town were injured in an attack allegedly by the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leaders and cadres on Saturday for refusal to allow a comfort woman to reside in the hotel.
Satkhira town JCD Vice President Shahin and JCD activist Khokon brought a veiled woman to the hotel and asked its manager to allot a room for her, but they refused. At this stage they attacked him and other staff. They also ransacked the hotel and threatened them of dire consequences, hotel sources said.
The Satkhira District Hotel Owners' Association strongly condemned the attack and demanded arrest and punishment to the culprits.
