Arrest warrant against former AL MP
Islam is sick and is in India along with his family for treatment, his relatives said. This correspondent also found his Kalapara house locked yesterday.
Dilip Kumar Bose, headmaster of Khepupara High School, had filed a case against Islam in February last year for not paying the money for bricks he took from the school on credit, court sources said. Islam, elected from Patuakhali-4 constituency (Kalapara) in 1996, had been chairman of the school committee by virtue of his position as a local MP.
The court sources said the warrant was issued on December 30 after he was chargesheeted under Section 420.
Police said they are yet to get the warrant.
