Meeting reviews women repression cases in B'baria

Eighty-seven cases filed under the Women and Children Repression Act in the district are going to be disposed of soon.

This was decided at a meeting between the District Women and Children Repression Protection Committee, held at the office of Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Md Younusur Rahman. The DC presided.

The meeting was told that out of the 87 cases, police reports on 17 have been submitted and those on the rest 70 are under process, meeting sources said.

Other members of the committee are Police Superintendent ATM Tarek, Majistrate Habibunnahar, Advocate Hamidur Rahman PP, Brahmanbaria Press Club President Md Mansur Kamal, District Women Affairs Officer Manuara Begum.
