Mental torture of money lender compels woman to commite suicide?

The victim was identified as Hasna Begum, 35, wife of Shahidul Islam, a labour leader of Nilphamari food godown (LSD).

Family sources said Hasna committed suicide taking pesticide because of unbearable mental torture inflicted to her by a money lender to whom she owe money.

The victim died soon after her admission in the hospital in a critical condition.

Her body was recovered from the Sadar hospital at night on the fateful day.

Post-mortem of the dead was performed on Thursday.
