Outlaws attack UP Chairman's house, one caught by people
Zamal Hossain, a suspected member of Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP), was beaten and handed over to police.
Police said some ten outlaws encircled the house of Goalkandi UP Chairman Zahangir Alam and asked him to come out.
As Alam raised an alarm, local people came and chased the gang. They caught Zamal.
In a case filed with Bagmara police station, Alam alleged that unidentified PBCP men were threatening him with death for several months as he was not giving them toll.
Earlier on Tuesday night, police arrested three alleged outlaws while they were pasting PBCP posters of in front of Rajshahi Women's College.
They are Roni, Arif and Liton.
RMP Deputy Commissioner Masud Mia said the case filing was under process and it was delayed for interrogating the outlaws.
