The solo exhibition, titled “Shafiqul Islam: The Secret Art of a Mysterious Artist", was inaugurated at Mrinmoy Art Gallery in Chattogram, recently. The exhibition, showcases the works of noted artist Shafiqul Islam, as a heartfelt tribute to him.

The much-anticipated film adaptation of the popular novel “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, is set to start production in Morocco this September. The announcement was made at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. The film will be produced by renowned actor Will Smith’s Westbrook Studios, Netter Films and PalmStar Media, and directed by Kevin Frakes, who has also co-written the script with Ryan Kreston.

The first namaz-e-janaza of eminent folk singer Fakir Alamgir was held this morning in the Pallima Sangsad premises in Khilgaon, Dhaka. Later, the mortal remains of the singer were taken to the Central Shaheed Minar.
