Pragati Life, BRAC Bank settle first bancassurance claim in 48 hours

Pragati Life Insurance PLC, in partnership with BRAC Bank PLC, has settled its first insurance claim under the bancassurance platform, marking a milestone in Bangladesh's growing bancassurance sector.

Md Jalalul Azim, managing director and CEO of Pragati Life Insurance PLC, and Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and CEO of BRAC Bank PLC, handed over a cheque of Tk 12.28 lakh to the nominee of the insurance policy at the bank's head office in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.

Speaking at the event, both CEOs highlighted the vital role of bancassurance in promoting financial inclusion and expanding access to insurance protection across Bangladesh.

Pragati Life reaffirmed its commitment to providing fast, transparent, and customer-centric services as part of its mission to strengthen public confidence in life insurance.

Following the unfortunate demise of a policyholder, the claim was settled jointly by the two organisations within just 48 hours, demonstrating their strong commitment to prompt service delivery and customer satisfaction.
