Govt removes Sk Bashir Uddin as Biman chairman
Released from responsibility in line with his own intention, says official gazette

The government has relieved Sk Bashir Uddin of his duties as chairman of the board of directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited, according to an official gazette notification.
The notification, issued by the Biman-1 wing of the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry and published on February 17, said Bashir was released from the responsibility in line with his own intention.

The order was issued under the powers conferred by Section 30(c) of the Bangladesh Biman Act, 2023, the gazette said.
It added that the decision was taken in the public interest and would take immediate effect from the date of its publication.
