The Bangladesh Apparel Youth Leaders Alliance (BAYLA) will hold a two-day summit on July 20-21 to discuss the future of the country’s ready-made garment (RMG) and textile sector.

The summit, titled BAYLA Future Summit 2026 and themed “Think Beyond Today”, will be held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka, according to a press release.

The event will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, academics and young professionals. More than 1,500 participants are expected to attend, including over 500 chief executives and senior business leaders, along with more than 20 local and international speakers.

The summit will feature discussions on leadership, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, sustainability, innovation, finance and other trends shaping the global apparel industry.

Keynote speakers from the business and policy sectors will discuss global leadership in manufacturing, AI-driven transformation of the RMG industry, sustainable production, finance, small and medium-sized enterprises, workforce development and data-driven decision-making.

One of the main attractions will be the BAYLA Future Leaders 2026, a national inter-university case competition aimed at connecting students with industry leaders. Shortlisted teams will present their solutions to business executives at the grand finale after campus rounds on July 16 and 18.

BAYLA President Abrar Hossain Sayem said Bangladesh has become a global manufacturing hub, but maintaining that position will require innovation, technology adoption, strong leadership and a future-ready workforce.

Hasin Arman Ayon, first vice-president of BAYLA and the summit’s event director, said the platform aims to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, innovators and young professionals to develop practical solutions for the future of Bangladesh’s apparel sector.

Huawei is the title sponsor of the summit. Envoy Legacy, A&E (American & Efird) (BD) Ltd, Sunrise Zhejiang Risun Intelligent Technology Co Ltd, and Transcom are the powered-by partners.
