Coastal Carnival opens at Sheraton Dhaka
Sheraton Dhaka, in collaboration with Mutual Trust Bank PLC, launched Coastal Carnival, a seafood festival at Garden Kitchen in Banani featuring seafood dishes from around the world.
The festival, which began on July 8, will continue until July 18, according to a press release.
Gabriel María Sistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru, the Spanish ambassador to Bangladesh, and Haji Haris bin Haji Othman, high commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Bangladesh, jointly inaugurated the festival.
The menu includes Seafood Paella Valenciana, Seafood Jambalaya Rice, Tuna and Salmon Teriyaki, Fish Bharta, Fish Sayadieh, Beetroot Salmon Gravlax and Lobster Bisque, among other dishes.
Seafood experts Chef Rimoun Obaid, Chef Hiromi Yonekawa and Chef Sait Dursun, along with Sheraton Dhaka chefs Mahbubur Rashid Akhand and Dulak Paul, will present seafood dishes inspired by coastal cuisines from around the world.
A live seafood counter offers Norwegian salmon, octopus, tuna, king prawns, lobsters and other seafood, allowing guests to choose their preferred items for preparation.
The festival also features seven seafood stations and a range of meat dishes, including Irish Lamb Stew, Greek Lamb Shank, Mutton Nehari and Mutton Rogan Josh.
The dessert spread includes Chocolate Milk Baklava, Pistachio and Coconut Baklava, Turkish Rawani, Tulumba, Moshabak, Arabian Medovik, Kunafa, Coconut Delights and Matcha Mousse Cake.
The dinner buffet is priced at Tk 9,950 net per person. Guests can also avail themselves of Buy 1 Get 2 and Buy 1 Get 1 offers through 24 participating banking partners.
Md Shakawath Hossain, chief executive officer of Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC, attended the inauguration along with representatives of Mutual Trust Bank PLC, members of the media, expatriate chefs and Sheraton Dhaka’s leadership team.
