Economy will fully rebound in the fourth year: finance minister

Bangladesh's economy will fully rebound in the fourth year, said Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury today.

It will take two years for the economy to recover from the current sluggishness. 

"I have said this several times before," he said at a post-budget conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka this afternoon.

He said the government had provided support for all sections of the population in the proposed Tk 938,000 crore budget, which is 18.7 percent higher year on year.

The government has considered value for money and return on investment in the budgetary allocations, he said.

“We have a lot of limitations, but we have tried to make a good budget,” he said.
