Inflation eases to 9.16% in June on slower food price growth

Bangladesh's overall inflation fell to 9.16 percent in June from 9.42 percent in May, driven by a moderation in food prices, according to the latest data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

Food inflation declined to 8.60 percent in June from 9.06 percent a month earlier, providing some relief to consumers.

Non-food inflation also eased marginally to 9.61 percent from 9.71 percent in May, indicating that price pressures remained elevated across other sectors of the economy.
