Inflation hits 8-month low of 8.32% in July

Inflation eased to 8.32 percent in July from 9.16 percent in June, the lowest rate in eight months, driven mainly by a moderation in food prices, according to data released today by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
The rate was last lower in November 2025, when overall inflation stood at 8.29 percent.
According to BBS, food inflation fell to 7.16 percent in July from 8.60 percent in June. Non-food inflation edged down to 9.28 percent from 9.61 percent.
