Khaas Food organises workshop on consumer rights protection

Khaas Food Limited has organised a daylong training workshop, titled “The Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 and Best Practices in Consumer Service”, at its head office in Dhanmondi, Dhaka recently.

Officials from the National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) conducted the programme as part of the company’s efforts to strengthen consumer trust and continuously improve the quality of its products and services, according to a press release.

Bikash Chandra Das, deputy director (training and public relations) at the DNCRP, inaugurated the workshop. He thanked Khaas Food for organising the initiative to raise awareness of consumer rights within the organisation.

Addressing the employees, Bikash said the true foundation of a strong brand lies in product quality and consumer satisfaction.

He encouraged employees to work with dedication to safeguard consumer rights and assured them of the DNCRP's continued support.

Tahmina Begum, assistant director (training) at the DNCRP, conducted a session on the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, explaining its key provisions, implementation, consumer rights and the responsibilities of businesses in complying with the law.

Habibul Mustafa, managing director of Khaas Food Limited, said the company places the highest priority on protecting consumer rights alongside ensuring food safety.

“Our goal is to deliver the highest quality products and services to every customer,” he said, adding that the company remains committed to continuous learning, regular operational reviews and ongoing improvement to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

He expressed hope that the knowledge gained through the training would be reflected in employees’ daily work and further strengthen consumer trust in the company.

The programme featured practical case studies, interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions on consumer rights, food safety, customer service and responsible business practices.

Among others, Md Abdul Jabbar Mondol, assistant director (Metro-1) at the DNCRP, and employees from various departments of Khaas Food attended the programme.
