Nagad names football captain Jamal Bhuyan as brand ambassador
Nagad Limited, one of Bangladesh’s leading mobile financial service providers, has named Jamal Bhuyan, captain of the Bangladesh national football team, as its brand ambassador.
The MFS provider signed an agreement with Jamal today, launching a six-month partnership aimed at promoting financial inclusion among young people and sports enthusiasts nationwide.
Md Motasem Billah, administrator of Nagad Limited, signed the agreement with Jamal Bhuyan at the Sheraton Dhaka in Banani, according to a press release.
Under the partnership, Jamal will feature in promotional campaigns and customer engagement initiatives, promoting financial inclusion through sports and digital empowerment.
“I have worked with Nagad before and had a great experience,” Jamal said at the event.
“Today, I feel delighted and honoured to sign as the brand ambassador. Nagad’s latest campaign was centred around the World Cup and was a remarkable success.”
“Overall, it is encouraging to see Nagad doing something good for the country,” he added.
Jamal also said Nagad has revolutionised digital transactions in Bangladesh through continuous innovation and customer-centric services. Its campaigns and customer rewards have strengthened its connection with customers.
Welcoming Jamal to the Nagad family, Motasem said, “Many, many congratulations and a warm welcome to Jamal Bhuyan to the Nagad family.”
“We have been trying to build a strong relationship with Bangladeshi footballers. It is not just Jamal Bhuyan; going forward, we hope to bring more star players into the Nagad family.
“Nagad will stand alongside sports and sportspersons at every level in Bangladesh,” he added.
Syed Himyanuddin Ahmed, senior associate administrator; Anwar Ullah, associate administrator; Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan, chief commercial officer; Afzal Ahmed, chief financial officer; and HUM Mehedi Sajjad, head of marketing, alongside senior company officials, were also present at the signing ceremony.
