Dutch-Bangla Bank joins export refinancing scheme

Dutch-Bangla Bank on Thursday signed a participatory agreement with Bangladesh Bank (BB) to access refinancing facilities under the “Export Diversification Refinance Scheme”.

The scheme aims to diversify export products and create new markets, strengthening the country’s export sector, according to a press release.

Under the agreement, Dutch-Bangla Bank will provide refinancing facilities to its export-oriented clients at comparatively lower interest rates.

AKM Nurunnabi, director of the Sustainable Finance Department of BB, and Md Ahteshamul Haque Khan, managing director and CEO of Dutch-Bangla Bank, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

Senior officials from both organisations were present at the signing ceremony.
