Prime Bank to offer tailored services to Central Women’s University

Prime Bank PLC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Women’s University (CWU) to make banking services more seamless, modern and technology-driven under the bank’s education-focused initiative, “PrimeAcademia”.

Under the partnership, a range of banking services will be extended to students, faculty members, administrative staff, guardians and the institution itself.

These include automated tuition fee collection, institutional business accounts, payroll management, special savings accounts, need-based loan facilities, priority credit card services, as well as various non-banking and skill development opportunities.

MM Mahbub Hasan, senior vice-president and head of the financial inclusion and school banking division at the bank, and Perween Hasan, vice-chancellor of the university, signed the MoU on the university campus in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.

At the event, Mahbub highlighted Prime Bank’s specialised banking solutions for the university community.

He said developing financial services tailored to the needs of the education sector, beyond traditional banking, is now essential.

He emphasised the importance of access to financial services, financial literacy and customer-friendly digital solutions.

Through “PrimeAcademia”, Prime Bank seeks to further strengthen the link between classrooms and financial systems. The initiative is expected to enhance students’ financial capability and awareness of money management, while also ensuring smooth and accessible banking services for faculty members, staff, guardians and institutions.

The bank’s initiative places strong emphasis on integrating institutional banking, personal financial management and financial literacy into the education ecosystem.

Shaila Abedin, senior executive vice-president and head of the liability and women banking division of Prime Bank, and Elias Ahmed, registrar of the university, along with senior officials from both organisations, were also present.
