BUFT holds Spring 2026 orientation for new students
BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) organised an orientation programme to welcome newly admitted students of the Spring Semester 2026 on March 4, 2026.
The programme took place at the university’s permanent campus auditorium in Nishatnagar, Turag, says a press release.
Faruque Hassan, chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT, presided over the event.
Touhid Bin Abdus Salam, managing director of Classical Handmade and a BUFT alumnus, and Alamgir Kabir, CEO of Kaiser Bekleidungs GmbH and a BUFT alumnus, attended as guests of honour.
In his welcome address, Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, vice chancellor (designate), greeted the freshers and encouraged them to face the challenges and opportunities of their academic journey at BUFT.
Prof. Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, acting pro vice chancellor, delivered the vote of thanks.
Deans of the Faculty of Fashion Studies, Faculty of Business Studies and Faculty of Arts and Social Science, Faculty of Engineering Studies, Faculty of Sciences and Faculty of Textile Engineering, and Faculty of Apparel Studies addressed the students.
One newly admitted student and one current student also spoke about their aspirations and experiences.
The programme was attended by the registrar, controller of examinations, CFO, director of public relations, director of P&D, director of BIFT, heads of departments, librarian, faculty members, officials, students and their guardians.
