Macquarie University and IUT sign MoU to strengthen academic collaboration
Macquarie University and Islamic University of Technology have signed a memorandum of understanding, formally establishing an academic partnership between the two institutions.
The signing ceremony was held at IUT and was led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Islam. Also present were Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Hissein Araby Nour; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Dr Md Anayet Ullah Patwari; Head of the International Affairs and External Communication Office Professor Dr Habib Kabir; and other faculty members.
On behalf of Macquarie University, the MoU was signed by Pro-Vice Chancellor (Future Students) Lee-ann Norris. Associate Professor Nazmul Huda, Director of Education and Deputy Dean of the School of Engineering, represented the university at the ceremony. Mr Alkayet Hussain, Senior Country Manager (South Asia and Middle East), also attended.
The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration in teaching, learning, professional engagement and institutional capacity building.
Both institutions said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening academic engagement and expanding international cooperation, creating opportunities for students and staff.
