Renata PLC becomes title sponsor of Bangladesh’s IRONMAN 70.3 journey
Renata PLC and Renata Cancer Care have joined as the title sponsor of Bangladeshi endurance athlete and ISSA-certified running coach Sazzad Hossain Snigdho, as he prepares to compete in IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo, South Asia’s premier triathlon.
The IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo features a 1.9-kilometre swim, a 90-kilometre cycling segment, and a 21.1-kilometre run. Held in Sri Lanka’s capital, the event attracts elite endurance athletes from around the world and is regarded as a major test of physical strength, mental resilience, and long-term discipline, says a press release.
Renata said the sponsorship reflects its belief that health is holistic, combining prevention, active living, mental strength, and compassionate care. The company added that supporting endurance sport aligns with its wider vision of promoting wellbeing at every stage of life.
Renata Cancer Care said its involvement carries symbolic value, drawing parallels between endurance sport and the fight against cancer, both of which demand resilience, hope, and sustained support.
“This journey is not only about racing,” said Sazzad Hossain Snigdho. “It represents strength, discipline, and the courage to keep moving forward. Having Renata PLC and Renata Cancer Care alongside me gives this journey purpose beyond the finish line.”
Renata said the partnership also reflects its commitment to national pride and healthier communities, as Bangladesh is represented on a global endurance stage.
