SEU hosts workshop on accreditation preparation with BAC
Southeast University in Dhaka, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Accreditation Council, organised a workshop titled “Preparation for Accreditation: Documentation and Evidence” on January 29, 2026, for members of the Program Self-Assessment Committees of 17 undergraduate and graduate programmes.
Mesbahuddin Ahmed, chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council, attended the programme as chief guest and highlighted the importance of accreditation in ensuring quality assurance and global competitiveness in higher education, says a press release.
Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, vice-chancellor of Southeast University, and Md. Mofazzal Hossain, pro-vice-chancellor of the university, were present as special guests. They reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous quality improvement.
The keynote presentation was delivered by S. M. Kabir, member of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council, who also chaired the session. He provided practical guidance on accreditation documentation and evidence management.
The programme began with a welcome address by A. K. M. Masum, director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of Southeast University, followed by an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Nasir Uddin Ahammed, director (accreditation) of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council.
The event was attended by the registrar of Southeast University, deans of various faculties, the controller of examinations, directors, faculty members, officers and administrative staff.
