With such a unique initiative, Pakistan’s lifestyle brand J. (Junaid Jamshed) has now come into the spotlight by launching perfumes named after two Bangladeshi cricket stars, Mushfiqur Rahim and Taskin Ahmed.
Personality in the Name, Identity in the Fragrance
Mushfiqur Rahim—a symbol of reliability in Bangladesh cricket. His jersey number 15 feels like a signature of his career itself. Carrying that familiar number, MR15 and MR15 Bold have been launched in the market. The names themselves hint at strength, confidence, and a classic personality.
Cricket’s Aesthetics Inside the Bottle
Taskin’s perfume stands out not only in fragrance but also in design. Inside the bottle are two balls—one red and one white—symbolizing Test and limited-overs cricket. In his words, “I’m a fast bowler—so the imprint of cricket has been kept on the bottle itself. Two flavours, two emotions.”
On the other hand, Mushfiq shared that his personal preferences were given importance in the perfume-making process. He himself was involved in selecting the flavours—so that his distinctive taste would be blended into the fragrance.
A Bridge Between Brand and Stars
Sohail Hamid Khan, Chairman and CEO of J., believes that creating fragrances around South Asian sports stars is not just business—it is an emotional connection. Earlier, they launched perfumes in the names of Wasim Akram, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, and Sania Mirza. He sees the inclusion of Bangladeshi stars as a strong addition to their collection.

J., which began its journey in 2002 under the guidance of Pakistani artist and designer Junaid Jamshed, has now grown into a globally recognized lifestyle brand. From clothing and jewellery to cosmetics and perfumes, their identity has been built on a diverse range of products. The brand operates in more than 150 countries worldwide. J. also has a visible presence in Bangladesh—customers can directly purchase products through outlets in Banani, Dhanmondi, and Uttara.
