United Hospital Limited rebranded as Continental Hospital PLC

United Hospital Limited has been rebranded as Continental Hospital PLC, marking a new phase in its operations.

The hospital was originally registered in 1985 as Continental Hospital and later became United Hospital Limited in 2004 after transitioning to a private limited company. Since then, it has provided healthcare services to patients across Bangladesh.

The rebranding reflects the hospital’s vision of delivering world-class treatment locally so that patients do not need to seek medical care abroad, says a press release.

Continental Hospital PLC is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), an international certification for healthcare institutions that recognises patient safety and quality care standards.

Managing Director and CEO Malik Talha Ismail Bari presented the hospital’s journey, achievements, and future vision during the event.

He said, "Our roots are strong, our foundation is resilient, and our responsibility to the community remains unwavering. We are committed to building a healthcare institution that future generations will be proud of.”

He also said, “This rebranding is not just a new identity; it is our promise to lead with excellence, innovation, and trust, serving our clients, caregivers, and the community with the same existing consultants and services at every step, both nationally and regionally.”

The hospital said the new identity reflects its commitment to strengthening healthcare services and advancing medical care in Bangladesh.
