2,000 feet illegal Ashulia gas pipelines snapped

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd yesterday disconnected more than 2,000 feet of illegal gas pipelines at Doshaid and Polashbari area of Ashulia, on the outskirts of the capital.

Fahad Parvej Bashunia, assistant commissioner (Land) and executive magistrate of Ashulia led the drive.

Locals alleged that miscreants will rebuild the lines within a short time, but the authorities assured they will gradually disconnect all the illegal connections.

On Tuesday, authority also disconnected over 500 feet of illegal gas pipelines at Ashulia and Dhamrai.
