30,500 Yaba recovered in Ctg, 4 arrested including 3 of a family

Police recovered 30,500 pieces of Yaba tablets and arrested four people, including three of a family, in this connection in Chittagong city on Wednesday night.

In Oxygen Kailar Ghar area, tipped-off police conducted a drive at the residence of Debabrata Chakraborty, 50, and recovered 30,000 Yaba tablets -- worth Tk 90 lakh -- and Tk 6.50 lakh in cash, said Officer-in-Charge of Bayezid Bostami Police Station Mohammad Mohsin.

Debabrata of Fatikchhari his wife Sumi Acharjee, 30, and mother-in-law Dipti Acharjee, 61, of Boalkhali were arrested in this connection.

Meanwhile, Nurul Afsar, 30, of Feni was arrested with 500 Yaba tablets, worth Tk 1.50 lakh, in Bahaddarhat Ek Kilometre area, said Chandgaon police.
