Bangladesh Police assures of fair SI recruitment

There is no scope for interference by any powerful individuals or quarters on the ongoing recruitment of sub-inspectors, said a Police Headquarters press release on Thursday.

The headquarters received intelligence that many of the contenders have resorted to bribing influential people and police officers, said a top police official.

"Contenders have been approaching whoever in the police department has the authority to issue a DO (demi official) letter with money," said the official.

Such attempts will bear no fruit as the recruitment process will be transparent, impartial and fair, he added.
