Barisal city gets 423.22cr budget

Barisal City Corporation yesterday announced a budget of Tk 423.22 crore for fiscal 2015-16.

Mayor Ahsan Habib Kamal unveiled it at Nagar Bhaban expecting revenue of Tk 108 crore. It has given top priority to environment preservation and disaster risk management including two projects worth Tk 118 crore for the proper sanitation and drainage system, excavation of eight canals, adequate drinking water, and solving waterlogging. The new budget did not hike any tax.
