BCC mayor promises re-excavation of city canals in six months

Barisal City Corporation Mayor Ahsan Habib Kamal yesterday said the city canals would be re-excavated within six months to ensure their navigability.

He made the assurance while addressing a workshop on "Results of the Feasibility Study and Next Steps" organised by BCC in the Barisal Development Society conference room.

The workshop was held on the basis of "Climate Change Adaptation in Urban Areas Programme: Vulnerability Analysis and Feasibility Study for the City of Barisal" conducted by BCC and KFW Development Bank.
