‘Bomb-like object’ found in Dhanmondi

Police found a “bomb-like substance” on a road in front of a house in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area tonight.

Abdul Latif, officer-in-charge of Dhanmondi Police Station, confirmed it to The Daily Star saying that on information, a police team rushed to the spot in 11/a of Dhanmondi and kept the place cordoned off since 10:00pm.

The ‘Bomb-like object’ is wrapped with red coloured scotch-tape and a wire is from outside, said the OC adding that being informed, a bomb disposal unit started to reach the spot.
