Catholic diocese of Barisal Christian community gets a new Bishop

The installation ceremony of the Bishop for newly erected catholic diocese of Barisal Christian community was held at Udayon Missionary School under St Peter's Catholic Church in the city yesterday.

Bishop Rev Lawrence Subrato Howlader, CSC, was installed as the first Bishop.

Archbishop George Kocherry, Apostolic Nuncio and honorable Ambassador of the Vatican and Bishop Moses Costa of Chittagong diocese, among others, were present.
