CCC honours 120 freedom fighters

The authority of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) yesterday honoured 120 freedom fighters fought in the district during the 1971 Liberation War.

The freedom fighters were given a certificate, a crest and Tk 10,000 each at a programme held at a community centre in the city.

CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin attended the event chaired by CCC Chief Executive Officer Kazi Mohammad Shafiul Alam.

Consul General of the Russian Federation in Chittagong Oleg P Boyko and Indian Assistant High Commissioner to Chittagong Somnath Halder were present there.
