Chehlum

The chehlum of Khairul Bashar, a mass communication expert and noted journalist, will be held today after the Asr prayers at his Gopibagh residence in the capital.

He died on December 26, 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the age of 78 due to severe lung disease and was buried at Jurain graveyard in Dhaka.

He was a professor of Mass Communication at Selangor University in Malaysia and was also executive director of Kuala Lumpur-based Asian Institute of Development Communication (Aidcom).

Friends, relatives and well-wishers are requested to attend the programme.
