Chevron sponsors facial reconstructive surgeries

Chevron Bangladesh sponsored a mission of Rotaplast International, a nonprofit humanitarian organisation, under which 85 patients received reconstructive surgeries, said a press release.

The patients -- living near Chevron's Jalalabad gas-plant -- received surgeries to correct cleft-lip, cleft-palate and other facial deformities.

On December 11, Chevron held a formal ceremony at a Sylhet hotel to mark the end of the 10-day mission which was conducted in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Jalalabad and Sylhet Women's Medical College Hospital.
