DGHS DG, MIS director infected with Covid-19

Director General Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam and Director of Management Information System (MIS) Prof Mizanur Rahman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) have been infected with Covid-19.

The DG's personal secretary has also been infected.

Director of Non-communicable Diseases Prof Mohammed Robed Amin confirmed the matter to The Daily Star.

"Khurshid Alam's Covid-19 test result came out positive the day before yesterday [Thursday]," Robed Amin said, adding that he is currently in home quarantine and undergoing standard treatment.

"Prof Mizanur Rahman has also tested positive for Covid-19. The DG's PS and his family have also been infected with the virus," he said.
