DNCC to place budget today

The Dhaka North City Corporation will propose a Tk 1,650 crore budget today and the Dhaka South City Corporation a Tk 2,085.36 crore budget tomorrow for the 2015-2016 fiscal.

These will be the first budgets under two newly elected mayors, Annisul Huq and Sayeed Khokon, since they assumed office in May.

The DNCC set its development spending at Tk 1,200 crore and non-development expenditure at Tk 400, while targeting a revenue income of Tk 800 crore, said sources.

For the South, the expense in development and non-development sectors would be Tk 1,635.48 crore and Tk 354.38 crore respectively, while the revenue income was set at Tk 632 crore.
