Doa mahfil for journalist leader Altaf Mahmud today

A milad and a doa mahfils for late journalist Altaf Mahmud will be held at the auditorium of Jatiya Press Club in the capital after Asr prayers today.

The Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists, the Dhaka Union of Journalists and the press club have jointly organised the programmes. Altaf, president of a faction of BFUJ, died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on January 24, aged 62. BFUJ Secretary General Omar Farook requested everyone including editors, journalists and members of the organisations to attend the programmes.
