Foreign minister leads delegation to C'wealth meeting in Malta

A Bangladeshi delegation led by Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali yesterday left for Malta to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2015) on November 27-29.

Mahmood will attend the Pre-CHOGM Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting and other events tomorrow and Thursday, read a foreign ministry press release.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was scheduled to attend the CHOGM and two other events in Paris, cancelled her visits following security situation.

Foreign Ministers from 52 member-states will discuss global political and economic developments and issues such as implementation of SDGs, migration, climate change etc.
